At this point, I think that we can all agree that the GT-R is the golden child that aftermarket companies have been dreaming of. There is no shortage of parts in the pipeline for this beast. Apex has thrown their hat into the ring with a new exhaust for Nissan’s R35 GT-R. Apex has changed the exhaust’s grouping in order to gain more power, rather than following the OEM 1 to 2 to 4 design they have done a 1 to 4 in order to reduce exhaust gas turbulence.
The main portion of the exhaust is done in SUS304 steel, and the rear is full titanium. This should allow for a reasonable price while weighing in much lighter than the stock unit.

When it comes to Nissan’s GT-R it looks like titanium is the material of choice. We can understand too, its lightweight nature allows owner to effectively cut weight from stock pieces they replace. Zele has released two titanium exhaust pieces: their FZ-Titanium Muffler Type1 and FZ-Titanium Front Pipe. The FZ- Titanium Muffler Type1 is clever weight reducing single exit exhaust for the GT-R, the be honest I can’t think of that many on the market. Their front pipe is a good way to free up exhaust gasses on your GT-R with 70mm openings and a 80 mm exit.

Bigger pipe diameter, check. Lighter, check. Mine’s is one of the world’s best GTR tuners, few can dispute that. Their attention to detail can be seen in this kit, even more so that they have found new ways to release power that most have over looked. The inner diameter of the new kit is 60mm large when compared to the stock unit’s 45mm. Horsepower gains are listed between 20 -30hp.
