As we wind down the year, its great to know that Tokyo Auto Salon is right around the corner. Honestly, the show never fails to impress; the aftermarket really comes together to showcase their best. A few months back Tommy Kaira’s rendered Prius had the internet buzzing, and guess what? Its here in the flesh ready for its showing at TAS2010. As car become “greener” we can rest asure that tuning will follow suit. The aero package includes a front spoiler, grille trim, side skirts, roof spoiler and a rear valence with an integrated diffuser. Performance modifications include an upgraded brake package,  sports suspension, and performance exhaust. While it wont transform your Prius into a race car, it sure will look good while saving fossil fuels.

The world has accepted Toyota’s 3rd Generation Prius with open arms, its becoming the standard upon which compact hybrids are based. The tuning community has noticed as well, releasing a furry of product since its release. Tom’s has announced the release of their Advox coilover for the Prius; owners are now able to enjoy improved maneuverability, firmer ride when compared to factory, and a more aggressive stance. Height adjustability ranges from +20 mm to -30mm in the front and a range of – 10mm to -40mm in the rear.

This kit/concept has been swirling around the internet for a few months, and has gained a lot of attention. ASI has released the final rendering of the aero kit of the 3rd generation Prius. That’s right, your plain jane Prius can look exactly like this one.

When it comes to hybrid cars, there are many players in the game but the Prius is leading the pack. It would make sense for tuning companies to focus their efforts more towards hybrids. Kenstyle is no different, recently they announced the shipping of their newest aero package for the lastest version of the Toyota Prius. While aero styling really comes down to aesthetic choice, I believe it well worth it to look into it if you own a new Prius.

Toyota’s MR-S (MR2 Spyder) model is one of the company’s last sports oriented models. Its lightweight design and mid-rear platform has created a nice global following behind the no longer produced car. Voltex, well know for their carbon clad wind tunnel tested aero, has released their Type-3 GT Wing for the MR-S (MR2 Spyder). For those looking to keep the rear of their car planted on the track, do look into the Type-3 and  other cars fitted with this model.

Titan Motorsports is pretty much synonymous with Supra tuning. Their drag race MK4 Supra has been breaking records for years. The race experience has been translated to every car tuned in their shop.  Titan Motorsports has announced the release of their injector for the MK3 Supra.  The 550cc injectors provide another tuning option for those working with the MK3 platform.

Cusco is well known for their suspension products, they have numerous applications for all of the vehicles in their line up.  The Toyota Wish (ZGE20W) has recently become the center of their attention. They have released their standard  OS style front strut tower bar for the front ; increasing structural rigidity. The lower front of the car is braced properly thanks to the rear lower control arm brace.

Due to the torsion beam suspension in the rear, Cusco has created a rear stabilization bar that minimizes body roll and stiffens the rear 130%.

Cusco has released their Zero Wagon and Vacanza Wagon coil over set-ups for the Toyota Alphard/Vellfire, or better know here in the states as the Toyota Previa. The designs are aimed at improving the ride quality for 2nd and 3rd row passengers, by offering an 8 way adjustable rear shock, which is to be adjusted based on vehicle load from passengers and cargo. The kits also offer ride height adjustments while maintaining near stock ride quality.
